Thanks for visiting our website. For those who are not familiar with the "Jackhammer Ranch & Saloon" it is an endearment to where we live. While the countryside is breathtaking, the ground beneath us is nothing but rock. Every project that involves landscaping literally starts with a jackhammer and ends with a drink in hand, thus, the "Jackhammer Ranch & Saloon."

We maintain this site to keep our family and friends up-to-date with the latest Thomas happenings and trivial minutia. Retirement has agreed with us. We can't believe how busy our days are. There are always fun stories to tell. We hope you will check back often.

We enjoy keeping our friends up to date, although retirement keeps us busy enough that blogging is a bit more than we wish to commit to. The latest Thomas "minutia:"

• Well, 2020 has turned out to be a bust .
• First, the great toilet paper shortage.
• Second, the Covid-19 House Arrest. We have been "Sheltered at Home" since March 15th. We only venture out for food or an occasional wine tasting, with MASKS on, of course.
• Speaking of Masks, Karen has been making tons of masks for family and friends and neighbors.
• Kauai trip for May 7-19th had to be cancelled. It has been rescheduled for 2021, fingers crossed.
• Our greatest 2020 disappointment was that "Camp Papa" had to be cancelled. We were looking forward to seeing the boys this summer. That didn't happen either.
